| Most PCs come these days without vista or xp discs, probably to save them money I will help you out the best i can, but as you can imagine its hard without the laptop not being in front of me, but im sure we can sort it. 1.Your first Job is to get the Vista Repair CD, Click the link below to download it, its about 120mb so its not to big. Vista Repair CD2.Once you have downloaded it, you will need to burn the iso image to a cd, you will need something like "Nero" to do this. Do you know how to burn cds or would you like help with this (i dont mind helping if your not sure) _________________ Only Easy If You Know The Answer

| I will be here about 19:30 onwards to help you. Some people have used dvds to burn the iso and in theory it should still work, so if you have a blank dvd you could try it or wait till you get some blank cds. I have not used the vista repair iso myself, but it should boot your laptop and offer you some options like: Repair Check Disk (chkdsk) Scan Disk So you should try repair first and with any luck your be back and running. If for some strange reason your computer doesnt boot the cd, you may have to change the boot setup in your BIOS, I can help you with this if needed. Another thought is some computers have a special recovery system already built in, try switching on your laptop & keep pushing the F11 key (dont hold it down), and see what happens. Best of luck Terry, I will be here or in the chat between 19:30 & 20:00 Lee _________________ Only Easy If You Know The Answer

| Oh no laptop from hell Lets make sure your burnt cd is ok, but i dont know how you burnt it, so im going to ask you to try it this way so i can remove any hidden problems. First download and install this burning software, its free and can be uninstalled afterwards if you like Burning SoftwareOnce your installed, and the burning software is running, click on the button next to "ISO Path" and find the Vista iso you downloaded. The Speed Setting doesnt matter, so just click "Burn" Once Your CD has been burnt, put the cd in the laptop drive and reboot, if all goes well vista will open, if not keep the burnt disc handy and get in touch with me and we will setup your BIOS. Best Regards Lee _________________ Only Easy If You Know The Answer

| no its really small burning package, your copy is probably fine, im just trying to rule out any oversights as for your lack of virtual memory you may be running out of harddrive space, remove some unwanted files this will help it. Lee _________________ Only Easy If You Know The Answer
